Library and Information Science Research

Library and Information Science Research is a scholarly publication officially licensed by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and affiliated with Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. It has been published independently since 2011. The journal is issued biannually in Persian, accompanied by extended abstracts in English, and focuses on publishing research articles in the fields of librarianship, information science, information and communication technologies, and related interdisciplinary studies.

This journal holds scientific accreditation from the Commission for the Evaluation of Scientific Journals of Iran and has established a scientific collaboration with the  Iranian Information Management Association since 2023.
Note: With the aim of getting the journal indexed in Scopus, manuscripts with international co-authors (either foreign nationals or expatriate Iranians) will be given priority in the peer-review and publication process.
