"Library and Information Science Research" is a scientific journal that was first published with the same name and has a publishing license from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. Ferdowsi University of Mashhad owns the physical and intellectual property of this journal, which is published biannually in Persian with an extensive English abstract.

According to the license number 19/3/11/105032 dated December 14, 2010, issued by the "National Scientific Publications Commission," this journal is scientifically valid. It is worth mentioning that "Library and Information Science Research" became independent from the "Educational and Psychological Studies" journal in 2011¹. Since 2011, it has been published biannually in Persian with an extensive English abstract.

It is also noteworthy that "Library and Information Science Research" began its collaboration with the "Iranian Information Management Association" on January 20, 2023
