Abstract

Introduction: The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors affecting voluntary activities, satisfaction, and continuation will of volunteering and loyalty of volunteers in public libraries of Kermanshah province.
Methodology: The present research method is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlational in terms of data collection method. The statistical population of this study includes volunteers working in public libraries of Kermanshah province. The Oh (2017) standard questionnaire with 53 items is used to collect data. In order to analyze the data, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple linear regression tests were used.
Findings: The research findings showed that the functions of volunteering, volunteer experience, and support for volunteers affect volunteers' satisfaction. Moreover, these variables have a positive and significant effect on the continuation will of their activities and their loyalty.
Conclusion: Among the functions of volunteering, the functions including perception/progress, job, sociality, value, and protection had the highest mean, respectively, and the mean of all of them was higher than the average value. This means that the main motivation for public library volunteers is to facilitate personal growth and understanding of others.
