Compilation and testing of information sharing model in social media based on the level of basic psychological needs with the mediating role of computer self-efficacy and social connection

Abstract

introduction: What is important for educational centers in the field of knowledge dissemination today is to provide grounds for creation, exchange and promotion of knowledge in virtual space. In this regard, schools as producers and publishers of knowledge and teachers as educational leaders need structures that will help them correctly and correctly in creating and sharing knowledge based on needs, relationships, skills and capabilities. Therefore, the current research was conducted with the aim of compiling and testing the information sharing model in social media based on basic psychological needs with the mediating role of social communication and computer self-efficacy in primary school teachers to realize this.

Methodology: The current research method is descriptive and correlation type, which according to the data-oriented model, examines the relationship between dependent, independent and mediating variables using the method of variance-oriented structural equations. The statistical population in this study included all the elementary school teachers of Islamabad West city in the academic year 2023-2022 in the number of 468 people. The sample size was estimated to be 215 people based on Morgan's sample size estimation table. To select the sample size of the research, a random and available sampling method was used. Collecting data with the help of library resources, scientific journals and internet sites, and standard information sharing questionnaires by Wu, Chang and Hsiu (2014), basic psychological needs by Ryan and Desi (2000), social communication by Zebov (2010) and Karsten and Roth (1998) computer self-efficacy was done. The analysis of the collected research data was done using SPSS and PLS software in two parts, descriptive and inferential.

Findings: The research results showed that the conceptual model of information sharing based on basic psychological needs with the mediating role of social communication and computer self-efficacy fits with the experimental model, and basic psychological needs have a direct effect on information sharing (p = 0.001, β= 0.487); Basic psychological needs have a direct effect on social communication (p = 0.001, β = 0.416); Basic psychological needs have a direct effect on computer self-efficacy (p = 0.001, β = 0.206); Computer self-efficacy has a direct effect on information sharing (p = 0.037, β = 0.132) and that social communication has a negative and significant effect on information sharing (p = 0.009, β = -0.172). Also, the research results showed that social communication positively and significantly predicts the relationship between basic psychological needs and information sharing (p=0.018, β=0.072), but computer self-efficacy predicts the relationship between basic psychological needs and information sharing. does not (p=0.104, β=0.027).

Results: teachers' basic psychological needs have a significant relationship with information sharing; Therefore, it is suggested that education and training, as the guardian of education, in the field of basic psychological needs and sharing of teachers' information inspired by the results of this research and researches in line with holding conferences, audio-visual classes, media training, etc., pay more attention to the wishes and needs of teachers. and make them aware of these basic needs.
