INTRUDUCTION: The purpose of this research was to evaluate the research productivity of faculty members working in the knowledge and information science departments of Tehran state universities. This evaluation was based on a set of multiple indicators.
METHODOLOGY: This research has been carried out by using survey and documentary methods and its population included the scientific works of all faculty members working in the knowledge and information science departments of Tehran state universities, who were employed in full-time at the universities in 2014. A checklist was used to collect data. After analyzing the obtained data and by using Excel software, the final research productivity rank of each university was determined based on the average ranks obtained in multiple indicators. In calculating the research productivity of each department, the research performance of each department per the number of its faculty members being active in that department was considered.
FINDINGS: Findings indicated that Tarbiat Modarres, Shahed, Shahid Beheshti and Tehran universities have better ranks in most book-based indicators. Meanwhile, Shahed and Tarbiat Modarres universities in the national and international awards, Kharazmi, Shahed, Tarbiat Modarres and Tehran universities in the h-index and publishing international articles, and Tarbiat Modares, Shahed, Tehran, Azzahra and Kharazmi universities in publishing national articles obtained the top ranks. Furthermore, Kharazmi, Iran University of Medical Sciences, Tarbiat Modarres and Shahed universities in International cooperation, and Shahed, Tarbiat Modarres, Kharazmi and Tehran universities in publishing articles in international conferences and Shahed and Tarbiat Modarres universities in conducting research projects have obtained better ranks.
CONCLUSIONS:The results showed that the rank of each of the knowledge and information science departments of Tehran universities is different in each of the various studied indicators. Nevertheless, the research productivity rank of these departments was calculated by the average of the total ranking of a set of multiple indicators and the universities Shahed (3.06), and Tarbiat Modarres (3.59), Kharazmi (4.94), Tehran (5.12), Iran University of Medical Sciences (5.59), Shahid Beheshti (5.94), Azzahra (6.24), Allameh (6.35), Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (6.88) and Tehran University of Medical Sciences (7.82) are ranked in top, respectively. Since the research performance of the departments is directly related to the total number of their faculty members, the less populated departments are better ranked in terms of their research productivity.

INTRUDUCTION: Knowledge audit can be considered as an important step in knowledge management that plays a crucial role in agility and effectiveness of the knowledge repository of organizations. Various models and methodologies have been proposed for performing the knowledge audit. A precise study and comprehensive review of existing methodologies and models would provide valuable knowledge for the experts and practitioners of the knowledge management. This research aimed to explore existing models and methodologies for knowledge audit in order to select and/or design an appropriate model for knowledge audit based on the requirements and priorities faced by project-based organizations.
METHODOLOGY: This research can be grouped as an applied research which utilized the documentary study method in order to perform a comparative study and investigate the existing models and methodologies associated with the knowledge audit.
FINDINGS: Although there is a diverse range of models and methodologies for knowledge audit, their nature is static; and almost, not entirely detailed. Thus, their practical application in different industrial environments lacks the required flexibility and agility.
CONCLUSIONS: With respect to the need for knowledge audit implementation in project-based organizations and considering the fact that there is an inconsistency between the existing models and specific characteristics of the organizations of this kind, it can be deduced that an appropriate and practical model for knowledge auditing in project-based organizations should be developed based on the requirements and characteristics of project-based organizations, knowledge taxonomy and audit factors.

INTRUDUCTION: Economic valuation is a key factor in evaluating and improving the management of databases, and it is affected by various factors. So, the present study was conducted to economically evaluate the online databases of Persian papers and determine the factors influencing them from the viewpoints of post graduate students majoring in Razi University.
METHODOLOGY: The present study was an applied research with survey method and conditional valuation, as a part of the prescribed preferred method determining the willingness to pay for papers. The research population consisted of all 4145 graduate students of Razi University in the academic year of 2015-2016. The research sample was computed on the basis of Michel and Carson's formula and amounted to 523 students. Also, stratified sampling method was used for sampling. The data gathering tool was a two-dimensional researcher-made questionnaire. Formal validity was done for determining its validity and Cronbach's alpha (0.83) was used to determine its reliability. Statistical methods such as descriptive statistics and inferential statistics were used for data analysis. Nonparametric logistic regression test with enter input method was used for inferential statistics, as it is proportional to the variables of the research and the dual mode of the dependent variable (willingness to pay versus unwillingness to pay), the non-normalization of variables and the non-constant variances.
FINDINGS: The average rate of students' willingness to pay annually to use Persian paper databases was about 175050 Tomans. The results also showed that the marital status variables (at the married level), College (at the faculties of literature, engineering, basic science, chemistry and agriculture), number of family members (at the level of four members) and the rate of use of Persian databases (once or twice a year, once a month, several times a month, once a week, several times a week, and almost every day) has affected sometimes positively and sometimes negatively the students' willingness to pay annually in using Persian databases.
CONCLUSIONS: Postgraduate students at Razi University tended to pay significant amounts to support improving and development of Persian databases. Regarding the participation of graduate students in the provision of costs, university officials can do more effort to develop Persian databases. It was possible that due to the variables affecting prediction and orientation of students' willingness to pay for papers it helps university officials in the optimal management of databases. Therefore, it was suggested that the willingness to pay is calculated, in order to analyze database costs before buying Persian databases and the use of the willingness to pay as a measurement can be considered as an indicator to determine the amount of potential database subscription. Because faculty variable and the rate of use of databases have had a significant impact on the willingness to pay, workshops related to introducing and use of Persian databases should be held in the faculties of Razi University.

INTRUDUCTION: Many environmental crises have their roots in cultural problems. Libraries have been regarded as cultural and social organizations and they should concern more than any other organization with the environmental issues and play a significant role in improving the attitudes and behavior of the community by providing useful information and various services.
METHODOLOGY: This survey was a descriptive study with a practical purpose. The data gathering tool was a researcher-made questionnaire that its validity and reliability (Cronbach's alpha = 0.92) were confirmed. The statistical population consisted of 22 librarians working in the public libraries of Isfahan city, Iran. Due to their limited numbers, the census sampling method was used to determine the respondents.
FINDINGS: The findings showed that the importance of environmental issues from viewpoints of librarians (mean rate of 4.47), the libraries' attention to social plans for green marketing (mean rate of 4.28), and the libraries' willingness to buy green goods and services (mean rate of 4.42) are in the very high level.
CONCLUSIONS: Many environmental crises are rooted in cultural issues, and since public libraries are cultural and influential organizations, activity in such an organization is constantly evolving to meet the information needs and making librarians more culturally familiar and more informed in the course of events that are taking place in the world. So they will try to increase the awareness of others about environmental issues. Thus, they can help users buy green goods and, ultimately, make sustainable development.

INTRUDUCTION: In order to determine the research priorities in the field of knowledge and information science, it is necessary to make attention to the subjects related to the research carried out in different periods. In this regard, the purpose of the present research was to analyze the content of articles published in Iran and the World attempting to determine and analyze the topics of information science for achieving research priorities in this field.
METHODOLOGY: This research was conducted by using related documents. A total of 73 articles were retrieved and analyzed. To analyze data, descriptive statistics (frequency and percentage) was used.
FINDINGS: The results showed that the largest number of articles were published in Iran over years 1386-1390 A.H. and in abroad over years 2015-2011. In Iran, the National Studies on Librarianship and Information Organization and in abroad, the journals Library Philosophy & Practice, and the Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology (JASIST) have the highest number of articles. Most of these studies were applied content analysis, bibliometric and the check-list. The highest number of studies were conducted in Iran, America, India and Nigeria, respectively. The study population mostly included research papers and theses. Trends in Iran were subjects related to the issue of "Studies of the Library" and abroad to the "Information Technology".
CONCLUSIONS: The results indicated that research tendencies in the field of knowledge and information science have been changed at any time, depending on the different conditions. In other words, in a given period, some of the topics have been considered more as topics of the day and, on the contrary, some have been neglected. The theoretical orientation of research in Iran has focused more on traditional topics and activities of the field, but abroad, it has focused on applied topics and ones related to technology have been prioritized.

INTRUDUCTION: This study aimed to compare the nature, advantages and disadvantages of folksonomies with those of controlled vocabularies and to review the literature related to Library Thing social tags and Library of Congress Subject Headings.
METHODOLOGY: This study was a library research and a comparative study.
FINDINGS:Folksonomies has some advantages, including being up-to-date, user oriented, money-saving and non-training, but with some disadvantages, including inconsistency, lack of context, and lack of both precision and recall that can be provided by controlled vocabularies. Thus, it is proposed that these are complementary rather than replacement for each other.
CONCLUSIONS: Literature review of Library Thing social tags and Library of Congress Subject Headings showed that studies in this field have been conducted by different research methods and sampling approaches and in various and special areas. There is some match (approximately 50%) between Library Thing social tags and Library of Congress Subject Headings that is inappropriate for replacement. It can be concluded that these two information organization systems can be complementary to each other.

INTRUDUCTION: Children need help for the use of information, and questioning is the start point of their information behavior or verbal information behavior. While most researches in this area have studied the behavior of the community with reading literacy, the purpose of the present research was to change the verbal information behavior of children in the pre-school age range in Tehran with making them familiarity with information sources.
METHODOLOGY: In order to observe the changes in the verbal information behavior in children, the researchers conducted a quasi-experimental study with pre-test and post-test and control and experimental groups. Research population included preschool children centers located in Tehran. Due to the uniformity of the research conditions, two centers were selected where the books were identical and the environmental conditions were in the same conditions. Each preschool class had 10 students. In this way, 20 students were selected as a research sample from two pre-school centers. The data collection tool was a semi-structured questionnaire for parents. The observation made by the teacher in the class was another tool.
FINDINGS: According to the views of parents and the first to fourth questions, the status of passive attention (frequent attention to printed and non-printed resources in daily life, passive search (the desire to obtain information from printed and non-printed resources, search activists (use of human resources to do research assignments), and the processing and use of information in doing research assignments for children in the pre-school age were changed in the experimental group.
CONCLUSIONS: Considering the change in the various verbal information behavior of the experimental group, it can be concluded that this intervention has changed their verbal information behavior, and the results of their use of information sources and the provision of research assignments showed an improvement in this condition in preschool children. Due to the limited possibilities, children's continuous search of information was not investigated in this study. Familiarity with information sources and strengthening the verbal information behavior of children can be beneficial for information behavior in adulthood. Therefore, adding literacy courses and critical thinking units and familiarity with information resources in pre-school education can contribute to the development of the verbal information behavior of children and training researcher students. To further generalize and extend the results, the research should be repeated in larger samples

INTRUDUCTION: Evidence shows that the current state of parenting and formal education could not absorb a huge group of children and adolescents in their textbooks or non-textbooks. This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of developmental bibliotherapy on reading motivation dimensions among third-grade girl students of Yazd city, Iran. Developmental bibliotherapy occurs in the classroom environment in which teacher tries to teach positive behavior dealing with the challenges of daily life.
METHODOLOGY: The study was a quasi-experimental study (pretest-posttest with a control group). The study population included all third grade Yazd female students in the academic year of 2016-2017. The sample group included 40 students were selected through multistage cluster sampling method. Selected two schools have classes with third-grade students where students in one was assigned as the experimental and ones in the other as control group, randomly. To measure the dependent variables, reading motivation questionnaire (MRQ) made by Wigfiel & Guthrie was used. T-test was used to test the hypotheses.
FINDINGS: The results showed that the developmental bibliotherapy has a positive impact on reading motivation dimensions, including reading curiosity, reading involvement and social reasons for reading. But the research hypothesis about increasing reading motivation because of the importance of reading was not confirmed.
CONCLUSIONS:The pleasure that children experience in the process of developmental bibliotherapy increases their reading motivation because of the autonomy and freedom to express their emotions and also during the enjoyable activity that occurs after reading a book.
